Upcycling Decor!

Football is back!

Okay, I’ll confess. I’m not the biggest football fan but my husband has enough sprit for the both of us. Every Sunday/ Monday he will be busy with his game hi ring me extra time for crafts!

This week, I cleaned out my storage locker. Most of what was in there was old Christmas decor and childhood memories. Searching through the Christmas decor, I found some great bowls. These leaves were a freebie I received from my mother after she had used them a few seasons. They came to me in this brushed silver that was beginning to wear off. The larger one also had a large crack running through the top. 

Rather then let them waste away, I decided to give them new life. I started by cleaning them with soap and water, then drying them with a clean towel. Next, I spray painted them all over with Tremclad’s Matte Farmhouse Black spray paint. The final product is a new set of black leaf bowls.

I plan to use one by my front door as a catch all for keys. The other one will be used for Halloween candy for now. Maybe after I can use it as a prop for the store.
